Mark 16:16: "He who has believed and has been baptized shall be saved; but he who has disbelieved shall be condemned.
Romans 10:9-10: “(T)hat if you confess with your mouth Jesus as Lord, and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved; for with the heart a person believes, resulting in righteousness, and with the mouth he confesses, resulting in salvation.”
Acts 8:36-37: “Now as they went down the road, they came to some water. And the eunuch said, "‘See, here is water. What hinders me from being baptized? Then Philip said, ‘If you believe with all your heart, you may.’ And he answered and said, "‘I believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.’”
Without having heard the gospel of Christ, and believing it, there is no possible way for a man to be pleasing to God, and therefore no way for him to be saved. A man must believe that Jesus is the Son of God, and that salvation is in Him, and that God will save Him if he obeys the gospel.
